Behind Jobpace

One went through it. The other knows it from both sides.

Jobpace started with David, who was in the middle of a job search himself and built the tool he was missing. Today there are two of us: David, who knows how good software is built, and Peter, who knows the job market from both the companies’ and the candidates’ side.

The story

From Hamburg to Jobpace, in seven steps.

Tap a step, or let the story play.

2001–2023
22 years in Germany
David

From 2001, David worked across Scandinavia and DACH, based in Hamburg. He started in sales and ended up as CEO and head of business development, with most of his career in software companies.

2023
Back to Denmark
David

In 2023 the family moved back to Denmark. A deliberate choice, and the right one. In May 2024 David became Head of Sales Scandinavia.

January 2026
Acquired. And let go.
David

At the end of 2025 the company was acquired. On 21 January 2026 David was let go.

Suddenly he had to look for a job in the Danish market, after more than 20 years away, and with a profile that was hard to fit into a standard box.

Winter 2026
Everything in silos
David

Word documents for CVs and applications. An Excel sheet of companies and contacts. LinkedIn messages in one inbox, emails in another. A folder per position. Nothing talked to anything else.

“It was not a lack of effort. It was a lack of system.”
March 2026
So I built it
David

The good tools were built for the American market. None of them included personality in the match. So David built his own.

First as an experiment. Then as something he used every day. And finally as a product, because others had exactly the same frustration.

After that
Then the method came on board
Peter

A good tool only solves half of it. The other half is the method: knowing where to focus, how to become visible, and how to reach the positions that are never advertised.

Peter knows the job market from both sides. He brought the method into Jobpace.

Today
Two who answer themselves
David & Peter

Today Jobpace is helping its first customers move on. It is still a small product, and that is the point: you do not talk to a support department. You talk to us.

Every message and every suggestion reaches the people who can change something.

Two halves

The tool and the method.

David

The tool

Built by someone who knows how good software is built, and how a job search feels. Jobmatch, which reads the job ad together with your CV and your personality. Jobs, Network and Momentum in one place, so you can see where you stand.

Peter

The method

From someone who knows the job market from both sides. Where to focus, how to become visible, how to use your network, and how to reach the positions that are never advertised.

Together we cover both sides of the job search: the tool that keeps track of everything, and the method that makes it work.

Honestly

What Jobpace is, and is not.

Jobpace is

  • A tool that helps you search smarter. Not more.
  • Built for experienced people in Scandinavia and DACH who are good at what they do, but not necessarily at selling themselves.
  • GDPR compliant and hosted in the EU.
  • Small. You talk to us, not to a support department.

Jobpace is not

  • A tool that rewrites your background.
  • A tool that invents things you have not done.
  • A machine for sending 25 random applications. Five good ones beat twenty-five random ones.
